Project overview: Complete the design, fabrication, and installation of interior signs for shuttle buses in Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove.

How your support helps: Yosemite’s shuttle buses transport thousands of people daily and provide an essential service to the park’s visitors, helping alleviate traffic congestion in the crowded Valley and providing easy access to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias. These shuttles also offer an opportunity to share educational content and important Yosemite information to a relatively captive audience while they ride from stop to stop.

Several years ago, an effort was made to replace and update outdated top panels in Yosemite’s shuttle fleet, but the project was never completed. Multiple new panels — offering safety tips, volunteer opportunities, navigational information, and more to shuttle riders — were designed, but they were never produced and installed in the vehicles.

This year: In 2022, with your help, draft designs from the original signage project will be completed, and the signs will finally be fabricated and installed for buses in both the Valley and Mariposa Grove. Your support will contribute to a safer, more informative, and enjoyable Yosemite experience for thousands of visitors who depend on the park’s free shuttle service.
