Project overview: Develop a report to inform future design and accessibility standards for Yosemite Valley’s seven picnic areas, which are in various states of disrepair. 

How your support helps: The seven picnic areas in Yosemite Valley — The Cascades, Cathedral Beach, Sentinel Beach, Swinging Bridge, Church Bowl, Lower Yosemite Fall, and El Capitan — need rehabilitation to varying degrees. A Site Scoping and Accessibility Report and a Class C Construction Cost Estimate will be created for each picnic area. This report will be reviewed by the Conservancy and will guide park partners in implementing design and construction activities in future years.

This year: Site visits and scoping trips will occur in 2024.
