Every year, millions of people visit Yosemite to experience the natural wonders of one of the country’s oldest national parks. During the busy summer season, however, bumper-to-bumper traffic can impinge on the experience of being immersed in the park’s remarkable landscape.
Park experts are working to address that challenge in several ways, including by studying how people move through the Valley and other parts of the park in busy months. This important research will examine how daytime and overnight visitors enter the park, how long they stay, and other key travel-related factors. Results will inform strategies to reduce congestion in the park and improve the overall visitor experience.
Your contribution will support key research to ensure visitors’ experiences match Yosemite’s majesty.
