In this multi-day art workshop, you’ll create sketches and paintings of Yosemite’s natural wonders, all while learning about shapes, colors, light direction and seasonal change, expanding your painting skills and giving you a broader understanding of place.

Students will learn skills that allow them to find their own style and express themselves. To beginners, this class offers a fun experience with many basic tips and techniques for capturing each element of landscape. Students of all levels will expand their painting skills, and the instructor will assist them in refining their own style.

Included with your registration:

  • 3 days of progressive learning and painting en plein air with Molly Hashimoto (8:30 am to approximately 3 pm).  Each class builds on the last to develop & fine-tune sketching and painting skills. Plus an evening meeting on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Happy Isles Art & Nature Center.
  • Park entry (as needed). Four nights of tent camping at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley, if needed (available Thursday, June 11 through Monday, June 15).
