This workshop will provide participants with a step-by-step working method to tackle the challenges of outdoor landscape oil painting. Students will interpret a particular scene and make thoughtful and informed decisions on color, composition, values and edges. This workshop will enhance the skills of the experienced artist and give confidence to the new plein air artist.

All levels of experience are welcome. Instruction includes demonstrations, individual instruction, critiques and class discussion. This class will focus on oil painting approaches but students are welcome to work in acrylic.

Some drawing and painting experience is helpful for this art retreat, but all levels are welcome. If you’re not sure if this workshop is the right fit for you, get in touch, we’re happy to help!
