During this immersive weekend adventure in Yosemite Valley, you’ll spend two days exploring new ways to observe and take in your surroundings with an experienced naturalist guide. Nature journaling will train you to employ all your senses as you capture musings and moments in prose or poetry; create drawings, paintings and maps; and enjoy quiet meditation.

As you let your curiosity and creativity take the lead, you’ll learn to “think like a naturalist,” noticing details — such as hidden plants or animal tracks — you might otherwise overlook. You’ll end the day with a rich, tangible record of your observations and reflections, a strong sense of connection to your park, and plenty of inspiration to incorporate journaling into your daily life.

Included with your registration:

  • Two days of progressive learning (from 8:30am  to approximately 2:30pm each day)
  • Park entry (as needed).
  • Three nights of tent camping at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley, if needed (arrive Friday, May 1 and depart Monday, May 4).
    • Our limited camping sites are for participants only. The sites are shared. Tents only. We cannot adjust the dates.
  • Option to upgrade accommodations to Yosemite Valley Lodge for an additional fee (arrive Friday, May 1 and depart Monday, May 4).
    • Information about upgrading your accommodations will be emailed to you after you sign up. The option expires 30 days before the program and does not offer a discount. We cannot adjust the dates.

Note: There is no discount if you choose not to use our gate pass or campsites.
