Step into the heart of Yosemite Valley and discover a new way of seeing through the simple act of drawing. Using charcoal and graphite, we’ll explore the raw, expressive art of sketching outdoors — where there’s no “undo” button, only the beauty of observation, imperfection, and experimentation. Rooted in the authenticity of mark-making, you’ll learn to let go of perfectionism and embrace every smudge, scribble, and “mistake” as part of your creative process. Through guided exercises and quiet moments of independent sketching, we’ll tune into the textures, forms, and rhythms of Yosemite’s landscape — trees, rocks, water, and sky. No experience necessary — just bring curiosity, comfortable shoes, and a willingness to see differently.
