Spend a long summer weekend hiking and camping in the beautiful Yosemite Wilderness with fellow adventurers! On this three-day, two-night backpacking trip from Tioga Road, you’ll follow Yosemite Creek as it flows toward Yosemite Valley, then set up camp near the top of one of the tallest waterfalls in the world: Yosemite Falls.

The trip kicks off with a Thursday-evening get-together at Tuolumne Meadows Campground, where you’ll meet your guide and review the route, safety tips including our new COVID-19 procedures, and Leave No Trace ethics. In light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, we have altered our usual programs to allow participants to maintain social distance and a safe environment. Our naturalist instructors will keep the group moving in a long line as we hike so as not to crowd the trail. We will only stop to offer interpretation when there is ample space to stay six feet apart.

This adventure also includes a day hike to Eagle Peak, the highest point of the Three Brothers formation near El Capitan and enjoy breathtaking views from more than 3,700 feet above the Valley. As you explore the creek, peak and surrounding terrain, you’ll learn about the natural history of the drainage that fuels one of the park’s most famous waterfalls and about the geology of Yosemite’s renowned rock features. After a second night under the stars, head back to Tioga Road, refreshed, relaxed and ready to share photos and stories from your trip with your family and friends.
