During this three-day workshop, you will explore the dramatic landscape of Yosemite Valley through playful nature journaling exercises using watercolor and pen. With the help of artist Casondra Cunningham, you’ll start with the basics of watercolor, brushing up on different techniques, and then apply them to your sketches and compositions. This retreat will help you build the skills to zoom in, sketching specimens like pinecones and leaves, and zoom out to capture the majestic landscape around you! This retreat is for anyone who wants to explore sketching and painting outdoors — some drawing and painting experience is helpful for this art retreat, but all levels are welcome. If you’re not sure if this workshop is the right fit for you, get in touch, we’re happy to help!
