Slow down, breathe in, and let Yosemite do the inspiring. In this relaxed four-hour watercolor class, you’ll paint outside — surrounded by blooming wildflowers and rushing waterfalls. Artist Jim Kingwell will guide you through watercolor basics, with step-by-step tips for beginners and creative nudges for seasoned painters. You can paint the big sweeping views or zoom in on a single bloom — whatever catches your eye. By the end, you’ll have picked up some skills, shared laughs with fellow creatives, and made a little piece of Yosemite your own to take home. No stress, just art, nature, and a good time.
- Experience level: Beginners welcome; no experience required! Participants must be ages 12+, and all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- What’s included: Four hours of art instruction and all art supplies needed for the duration of class!
- Please note registration is only for a single day of class, but you may sign up for multiple days of class if you wish.

- Location: Happy Isles Art and Nature Center (Shuttle Stop 16). All workshops will be held outside, weather permitting.
- Time: 9 am to 1 pm, with classes recurring Monday–Friday
