Pansy Monkeyflower

Yosemite provides habitat for more than 1,500 plant species — including some “fire-following” flowers, such as the pansy monkeyflower, that emerge briefly after a blaze. This unusually large field near Hetch Hetchy was discovered during a Conservancy-funded study after the 2013 Rim Fire.
