Inspired by the quiet rhythms of observation and reflection, this beginner-friendly watercolor journaling class invites you to slow down and connect with Yosemite Valley through color, texture, and personal response. Rooted in the practice of field journaling and the meditative qualities of watercolor, this class offers a gentle introduction to painting in nature — no experience necessary, just a willingness to look closely and let your curiosity lead. With artist Jennifer Peart as your guide, you’ll explore simple techniques for capturing light, movement, and mood on the page, while integrating written notes, impressions, and sensory details. Whether you’re drawn to the shapes of granite cliffs, the shifting colors of a meadow, or the quiet play of light on water, this class creates space for personal interpretation and connection. In this class, each moment is an invitation to see Yosemite anew — through your own eyes and brush.
