Join Joshua Tree-based artist Rose Cefalu for four hours of experimental printmaking, known as Cyanotype printing. In this hands-on art class, you’ll capture the dramatic and wild landscape of Yosemite through Cyanotype Printing! Rose will kick off the class with a brief history of this experimental method of printmaking and guide you through the preparation process of cyanotype. You will create your own compositions with provided natural specimens and photograph negatives, then use the UV light from the sun to capture and develop these unique prints! After creating several unique “sun prints,” you’ll walk away with new art to hang in your home and inspiration to make more! No experience is needed for this fun cyanotype class.
