Join artist Daniel Villa for an inspiring introduction to printmaking in the heart of Yosemite Valley. Designed with beginners in mind, this hands-on class invites you to explore the basics of printmaking in a relaxed, supportive environment surrounded by the natural beauty that has long inspired artists. You’ll learn how to carve your own unique linoleum stamps, then dive into the joyful process of block printing, using your custom designs to create one-of-a-kind prints. You’ll learn foundational techniques using simple tools and materials — perfect for first-time printmakers or those looking to reconnect with their creative side. Whether you’re a curious traveler, a budding artist, or simply seeking a new way to engage with nature, this class offers a fun and memorable artistic experience in one of the most breathtaking locations on Earth.

  • Experience level: Beginners welcome; no experience required! Participants must be ages 12+, and all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • What’s included: Four hours of art instruction and all art supplies needed for the duration of class!
    • Please note registration is only for a single day of class, but you may sign up for multiple days of class if you wish.
    • Advanced registration required.

  • Location: Happy Isles Art and Nature Center (Shuttle Stop 16). All workshops will be held outside, weather permitting.
  • Time: 9 am to 1 pm, with classes recurring Monday–Friday
