New to backpacking? This is the trip for you! Join one of our naturalist guides for a casual weekend adventure along Yosemite Valley’s scenic south rim. You’ll learn how to load and fit your pack, select and set up a campsite, cook a satisfying camp meal, minimize your impact on your surroundings, and much more. As you dive into backpacking basics, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Valley and far-off peaks from the Pohono Trail, and you will learn about the landscape’s natural and cultural history. By the time you and fellow adventurers hop off the trail at Tunnel View, you’ll be ready to tackle your own overnight trek!
