Spend a long summer weekend hiking and camping in the beautiful Yosemite Wilderness! On this three-day, two-night women-only backpacking trip from Tioga Road, you’ll follow Yosemite Creek as it flows toward Yosemite Valley, then set up camp near the top of one of the tallest waterfalls in the world: Yosemite Falls. Take a day hike to Eagle Peak, the highest point of the Three Brothers formation near El Capitan, and enjoy breathtaking views from more than 3,700 feet above the Valley.

As you explore the creek, peak and surrounding terrain, you’ll learn about the natural history of the drainage that fuels one of the park’s most famous waterfalls and about the geology of Yosemite’s renowned rock features. After a second night under the stars, head back to Tioga Road, refreshed, relaxed and ready to share photos and stories from your trip with your family and friends.

Included with your registration:

  • An introductory meeting (7:30 pm on Thursday, July 18, at Tuolumne Meadows Campground) and three full days of guided backpacking (Friday, July 19, through Sunday, July 21, at around 4 pm, depending on the group’s pace).
  • Bear-canister rental and Wilderness permit.
  • Park entry (as needed).
  • Two nights of shared camping (as needed, July 18 and July 21) at Tuolumne Meadows Campground.
