Join adventure artist Lori Harris for a beginner-friendly gouache painting class set amid the breathtaking landscapes of Yosemite. In this relaxed workshop, Lori will teach you how to use color to suggest light, time of day, weather, and season, bringing the park’s essence to life on paper. With gentle guidance, she’ll invite you to experiment, explore, and discover your own artistic voice. You’ll work with a super portable art kit designed to make painting in the park effortless! Through this immersive experience, you’ll not only learn painting techniques but also deepen your connection to Yosemite, developing a more personal and meaningful relationship with its ever-changing beauty through art.
- Experience level: Beginners welcome; no experience required! Participants must be ages 12+, and all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- What’s included: Four hours of art instruction and all art supplies needed for the duration of class!
- Please note registration is only for a single day of class, but you may sign up for multiple days of class if you wish.

- Location: Happy Isles Art and Nature Center (Shuttle Stop 16). All workshops will be held outside, weather permitting.
- Time: 9 am to 1 pm, with classes recurring Monday–Friday
