Program Overview: Spend a spring Saturday in Yosemite Valley enjoying the experience of being in one of the world’s most beautiful natural landscapes while capturing your observations in a nature journal. Your naturalist guide will help you and your fellow journalers tap into all your senses to notice details that might otherwise escape attention, such as hidden plants, animal tracks, or distant bird calls, and then jot down what you see, hear, smell and feel. However you decide to fill in your journal — with notes, poems, sketches, maps, or detailed drawings of leaves and feathers — you’ll end the day with a personal record of the day’s observations and reflections (and maybe some inspiration to take a nature journal on your next outdoor wander).
This adventure takes place the day before Mother’s Day — what a great way to celebrate the moms in your life! Register on their behalf, bring them along, or show them your love with an Adventure Gift Card they can redeem for a future Yosemite trip.
