Memorable Yosemite moment: My very first backpacking trip was to Glacier Point — and on skis!
Growing up in the Finger Lakes region of New York, Heather thought mountains were green and round. When she first came to Yosemite, as the Art and Nature Intern in 2018, she was awed by the granitic beauty of the Sierra Nevada. After a few summers as an interpretive park ranger in Yosemite Valley, she made her way to the Conservancy, where she splits her time between crafting stories that will help connect Yosemite to new audiences and documenting Conservancy projects and programs.
