Memorable Yosemite moment: Spending quality time with President Obama when he visited the park during Father’s Day weekend in 2016.
Emily was born in West Virginia, grew up in northern New York, and studied outdoor recreation and geology at Middle Tennessee State University. After graduating in 2007, she and about a dozen friends from school moved to California to work in Yosemite. In her role at the Conservancy, Emily runs our volunteer program. She recruits, registers and trains volunteers and helps implement our various volunteer work weeks in Yosemite Valley, Wawona and Tuolumne Meadows.
