While you’re exploring Yosemite, help us Protect Our Park by doing your part.

This year has brought Yosemite unique challenges — and we’re working alongside the National Park Service to keep up the conservation work required to protect Yosemite’s habitats, animals, and people.

Protect meadows and habitats
  • 🥾 Stay on trails and walkways to ensure that all the little bugs and flowers don’t get squashed. Similarly, only park in designated areas to protect our meadows.
  • 📸 Take only pictures. Leave all leaves, flowers, pinecones, and rocks where they’re at — many flowers will re-seed for next spring, and other resources are vital to the habitat of many critters.
Protect wildlife
  • 🗑️ Pack out all your trash and dispose of it in proper containers. Squirrels may look cute while begging you for your pizza crust, but feeding wildlife damages their health and alters their otherwise natural behaviors.
  • 🐻 Keep your distance from bears. Make sure you always maintain at least 50 yards of distance between yourself and a bear — for your safety and theirs.
  • 🔒 Utilize bear-resistant lockers and containers for all food and scented items.
Speak up for parks
