Get to know a new side of Yosemite during an adventure-filled spring experience! You’ll kick off the weekend on the water, as you navigate the Merced River with guides from Zephyr Whitewater Rafting. Back on land, you’ll get to dive into fire ecology, as you join a naturalist guide to explore recently burned areas along the river. Look for rare “fire-follower” flowers blooming in rebounding habitat, and learn how wildfires, such as the 2018 Ferguson Fire, can be beneficial for Yosemite ecosystems.
Included with your registration:
- One and a half days of guided hiking and a half day of Whitewater Rafting with Zephyr (Saturday, April 13, through about 4 pm on Sunday, April 14).
- Park entry (as needed).
- Camping included, if needed; limited sites are shared among all the participants (reservation arrives Friday, April 12, and departs Monday, April 15) at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley. We cannot adjust these dates.
Note: There is no discount if you choose not to use our gate pass or campsites. Information about upgrading your accommodations to stay at Curry Village will be emailed to you after you sign up. The option to upgrade expires 45 days before the start of the program.
