What makes you feel connected to the natural world? In this immersive Sunday adventure in Yosemite Valley, you’ll spend a full day with an experienced naturalist guide, exploring new ways to observe and experience your surroundings, with a focus on nature journaling. Tap into all your senses, as you capture musings and moments in prose or poetry; create drawings, paintings and maps; and enjoy quiet meditation.

As you let your curiosity and creativity take the lead, you’ll learn to “think like a naturalist,” noticing details — such as hidden plants or animal tracks — you might otherwise overlook. You’ll end the day with a rich, tangible record of your observations and reflections, a strong sense of connection to your park, and plenty of inspiration to incorporate journaling into your daily life.

Included with your registration:

  • A full day of creative exploration (Sunday, April 21, starting at 9 am and lasting about seven hours).
  • Park entry (as needed).
  • Camping included, if needed; limited sites are shared among all the participants (reservation arrives Friday, April 19, and departs Monday, April 22) at Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite Valley. We cannot adjust these dates.
  • Note: There is no discount if you choose not to use our gate pass or campsites. Information about upgrading your accommodations to stay at Yosemite Valley Lodge will be emailed to you after you sign up. The option to upgrade expires 45 days before the start of the program.
