Program Overview: Explore the diverse and stunning world of Yosemite’s trees! Join your expert naturalist, Dan Webster, on an immersive, multi-day experience into the heart of Yosemite’s apex flora — trees. You will discover interconnected ecosystems and breathtaking biodiversity. You’ll also gain firsthand knowledge about the role trees play in their environment, and intricate insight into each species we explore!

Whether you seek to improve identification skills, develop deeper ecological knowledge, or cultivate a connection with the beauty and mystery of trees, this offering promises to be a rewarding and unforgettable experience. Know Before You Go:
- Program dates: Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, 9 am–3 pm, each day
- Program location: Crane Flat and the high country
- What’s Included
- Guided instruction with a Yosemite Conservancy Naturalist Guide
- Park entry pass (valid for program dates only)
- Shared tent camping (camping dates cannot be altered)
- No discount is available if you choose not to use the gate pass or campsite.
- Camping Information: Arrive Friday, July 24, after 12 pm. Depart Monday, July 27, by 11 am. Two campsites are shared between all participants, each with space for 2–3 tents and equipped with a picnic table, bear locker, and fire pit.
- Camping Location: Crane Flat
- Important Notes: Due to the shared nature of the campsites, we cannot accommodate RVs, campers, or car camping. If you would like a private campsite, have an RV/camper, or plan to sleep in your car, you’ll need to make your own reservation. Please note that camping is reserved for program participants only.
- Lodging Upgrade: Upgrade to Tuolumne Meadows Lodge for an additional fee. A block of rooms is reserved for program dates only. Lodging blocks expire 30 days prior to the program. Booking details, including the Group Code, will be emailed after registration.
