Enjoy a respite from the summer heat during a series of three guided day hikes off Tioga Road, in eastern Yosemite. Your naturalist guide will lead your group to a different high-elevation destination each day: Hike along the John Muir Trail on Friday, explore the Gaylor Lakes basin on Saturday, and discover the historic mining town of Bennettville on Sunday.
On every hike, you’ll get to enjoy spectacular scenery, while learning about the plants and animals that live near and above the tree line. No matter how much time you’ve spent in the park, you’ll end the weekend with a new understanding of Yosemite’s biodiverse, interconnected alpine and subalpine ecosystems — and a deep appreciation for summer days in the high country.
Included with your registration:
- Three full-day hikes Friday, August 2, to Sunday, August 4, starting at 8:30 am until about 4 pm, each day, ending a little earlier on Sunday.
- Park entry (as needed).
- Four nights of shared camping (as needed, arriving Thursday, August 1, and departing Monday, August 5) at Tuolumne Meadows Campground.
Note: There is no discount if you choose not to use our gate pass or campsites. Information about upgrading your accommodations to stay at Tuolumne Lodge will be emailed to you after you sign up. The option to upgrade expires 45 days before the program.
