Join a Yosemite expert for a guided winter experience in one of the world’s natural wonders: the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.
As you snowshoe among the towering trees, you’ll learn about the grove’s natural and human history, and about the diverse wildlife that live among the sequoias. Look for signs of animals that rely on this special ecosystem, including owls, fishers and deer, and enjoy the quiet that descends on the forest in winter. At each step, you’ll also get to see the outcome of the recently completed multiyear restoration project that brought ecological balance back to the grove, ensuring the long-term health of the sequoia habitat and its residents.
