Step into the vibrant world of mosaic art in this friendly, hands-on class led by artist Denise Davidson. Over four inspiring hours, you’ll explore the creative process — from designing your mosaic to bringing it to life — guided every step of the way. You’ll explore a variety of glass and ceramic materials, learning how to thoughtfully arrange and adhere them to a base surface — known as a substrate — to bring your vision to life.
Once you’re comfortable with the basics, you’ll select a Yosemite-inspired template and begin crafting your own unique mosaic, drawing inspiration from the park’s natural beauty. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a personal work of art — a one-of-a-kind keepsake to remember your creative time in Yosemite.
- Experience level: Beginners welcome; no experience required! Participants must be ages 12+, and all participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- What’s included: Four hours of art instruction and all art supplies needed for the duration of class!
- Please note registration is only for a single day of class, but you may sign up for multiple days of class if you wish.
