John Muir is back! The famed naturalist and Sierra Club founder is once again roaming his beloved Earth – but now as a deeply troubled spirit. After a lifetime devoted to preserving wild lands and wild life, the man long known as the “father” of our national parks returns in the 21st century only to find a host of unimaginable environmental problems. He sees his cherished glaciers rapidly melting, his “plant people” disappearing, and his winged, hooved and finned “fellow mortals” vanishing into extinction.
The audience joins an irate Muir as he seeks those responsible for the environmental destruction and implores them to become better stewards of the planet. Along the way, he recalls – and shares – many of his memorable, astonishing and often humorous wilderness adventures.
