The Junior Ranger Program offers thousands of children the opportunity to engage directly with interpretive rangers to learn about Yosemite National Park. By completing ranger-led activities, such as participating in nature walks and finishing workbooks, kids earn their Junior Ranger badge.

Based on the success of previous years, Yosemite Conservancy continues to support this program. The results are impressive and reflect the increasing number of children who are able to participate in this program. For example, in 2009 over 27,000 children participated in the program compared to 6,000 in 2007.

More programs, more rangers, more children learning about and connecting with Yosemite means that together we are inspiring the park’s future stewards.
