with Yosemite Association

Did it pique your interest canyonwhen Superintendent Mike Tollefson established relations with two mountain reserves in China (both World Heritage Sites like Yosemite)?  Imagine peaks that have been famed in literature for two thousands years, glacial valleys with astonishing waterfalls, and the forests where pandas play.  If you’re also someone who wants to know more about this new dimension to Yosemite by seeing it for yourself, YA is happy to offer you the opportunity of a unique visit with a small group to the mysterious Middle Kingdom with naturalist Pete Devine.

Your 11-day journey includes hiking, naturalizing and meeting pandawith park staff in Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) and Jiuzhaigou national parks and a visit to the Wolong Panda Reserve.  The complete itinerary will be posted here soon.

For more information call Pete at YA: 209/379-2321 or email pdevine@yosemite.org.  Our partners at Wilderness Travel will start taking reservations for this trip shortly.
