Believe it or not - It's Spring! |
|
|
|
A sure sign that spring is here, despite the sudden
drop in temperature and falling snow, is the annual
dogwood bloom in Yosemite Valley.
Though we spent some time recently hiking above
snow line, it's hard not to enjoy the mountain
dogwoods in full bloom throughout the valley. Despite
their appearance, the striking 'flowers' are actually
petaloid bracts covering the branch tips.
